Position Summary The Property Accountant will be responsible for supporting accounting and financial reporting for RPM. This role will be responsible for financial reporting, cash management and the general ledger for a portfolio of properties. Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial information in accordance with deadlines/requirements while adhering to accounting policies and procedures and maintaining effective internal controlsPrepare financials for multiple clients with different reporting requirementsEffectively communicate and collaborate with clients and property management in a timely manner while providing exceptional customer service Requires the use of detailed technical accounting skills to assess appropriateness of accounting treatmentRequires cash flow management to pay the property expenses and to adequately predict the need for funding Records journal entries & accruals, reconciles income, and documents prepaid rent in industry specific software Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthlyPerform bank account reconciliations as appropriatePerform cash disbursement through wires and checks, prepares invoicing and inter-company collections, and maintains a daily cash balance Perform other duties and tasks as assigned Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experienceProficient with Microsoft Office Qualifications Physical Requirements:May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to read documents, computer screens and dataMust be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computerMay occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 poundsMust be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipmentWork Environment:This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per weekThe office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions Company Information Join RPM Living and experience exceptional benefits designed to enhance your life.Weekly pay for all associates working onsite at an apartment communityComprehensive healthcare coverage available for all full-time, regular associates Employer-paid employee assistance, mental health, and wellness programsAncillary benefits including critical illness, hospital indemnity, and accident insurance401(k) with robust company match Opportunities for professional development, career growth, and role-based learning plansDiversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) and multiple Employee Resource Groups (ERG)Paid time off plus floating holidays and volunteer daysDiscounted Perks (Costco membership, movie tickets, health & wellness, entertainment & travel discounts)Employment with RPM Living is contingent upon successful completion of a background check as local and federal state requires.
